I originally titled this post “How to Be Happy in 2021” and had 500 written, but I deleted it all and decided to write something completely different.
You know there are days you feel let loose, and I think Saturday is a good day for it.
I was taking a walk with my dog, and the air is crisp and cold. Winter sunshine scattered its ray on the frost, and everything is shimmering. I saw one or two people on the sidewalk, but it mostly just My dog and me. No one had to leave their house on a Saturday morning. The street is quiet, not even the sound of cars from a distance.
I hear birding chirping and woodpecker pecking. My dog happily sniffs every square inch of the sidewalk, happy as can be. Every morning my dog waits patiently to get her jacket and collar on to go on a walk. Cold doesn’t bother her at all. I start to appreciate winter walks; The solitude of being in the cold awakens your body.
Then I think about the blue sky and how the blue is just an illusion. How beautiful. I think about space and the planets and stars scattered in the dark universe silently. We are on spaceship earth and traveling somewhere together.
I think about the people in my life, and how grateful I am that I happen to meet them, get to know them, and get to love them.
There is only so much time we have on this planet. We don’t know why we are here; we don’t know where we would go after. We don’t know if everything was by design or it’s all just a big accident.
I often think about my death bed. Only in death do we appreciate life.
Every morning when we wake up, we start anew. Every day we get a chance to be who we want to be, to do what we want to do. We don’t have to worry about yesterday or tomorrow; we are here and now.
Sorry, today’s post is a ramble. Most of the time, I write for my readers, but today I feel writing for myself.
I hope you all have a beautiful day and I will see you soon!
